I just found Donald Byrd's Ethiopian Knights last weekend, totally psyched.

Don't care if its boring, its so great in parts.

I kind of feel like all of this is sort of a rough equivalent to Rare Groove in 1987.

Its going absolutely nowhere, and something better is sure to rip through the bullshit eventually. Until then I'm collecting jazz fusion and rare disco records.

Mostly just because I'm bored.

Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes! Especially with Teddy Pendergrass.

Or MFSB. When I'm blunted it sounds like Heaven.

When I'm not, its muzak.

This is what happens when I get high with a bunch of old electro records.

Bad mixing, corny jazz, and Prince B-sides ahoy.

Loads really. Probably why i find it so hard to do a top ten that would stick with me for more than a week or so.

SAW II - except for the track refered to as Rhubard with is ace everytime.
Boards of Canada - MHTRTC
Broken Beat
LTJ Buken - Logical Progression
Kate Bush - Aerial

Basic channel is the ultimate for me! Sometimes amazing and engaging, sometimes total meh, put on something much more fun.

anything 'deep' really, house, techno, dubstep whatever. If I'm mixing stuff like this and grooving on it after a couple of spliffs I love it, late night vibes and that. Headphones on...otherwise I can very quickly get bored and have to put some Grime or something on. lol

Oh, and anything rootsy like folk, blues or country. Acoustic guitars. Funny how sometimes it seems like the best music ever made and sometimes it just...gets on my wick.

Music I never, ever get sick of: Miles Davis, most reggae/dancehall, motown, UK garage. For the last year I've gone to sleep listening to On the Corner nearly every night cos its the only album that works on my knackered cd player. Still not sick of it yet!
