Burning Spear / Cockney Wanker confusion

There's something that's been preying on my mind for a while. You know the Burning Spear song "Marcus Garvey"? (not to be confused with "Old Marcus Garvey") Well, on the last line of the second verse, what does he actually say?? Cos I'm sure it's "cockney wanker"

: No one remember old Marcus Garvey,
No one remember old Marcus Garvey :/

No one remember him, no one
they been talking about Paul Bogle,
They been talking about William Goddon
They been talking about Norman Washington Manley,
including Bustamante
Noone remember old Marcus Garvey,
Noone remember old Marcus Garvey
f
Finest time
John the Baptist's head were cut off
Put it away into a saucer,
Still disciples have oh Lord believe me,
Yes they stoneth him to death
Noone remember old Marcus Garvey,
Noone remember old Marcus Garvey

This day the right way
This day the right way
This day the right way
All us got todo is
A true black Lou I
A hatred scatter, even melt before the fire light go out
Noone remember old Marcus Garvey,
Noone remember old Marcus Garvey

Children, children, children, children
Humble yourself and become one day somehow
You will remember him you will
Noone remember old Marcus Garvey,
Noone remember old Marcus Garvey

Garvey's old yet young
Garvey's old yet young
Garvey's old yet young
Garvey's old yet young.......

Perhaps you are thinking of the deejay version by Jah Pearly King of Kings?

Is this the right thread for all the Burning Spear / Britney Spears jokes?

No, that's 'Old Marcus Garvey', you need 'Marcus Garvey', the first track on the album of the same name.

Oh well, bloody hell, innit....

Marcus Garvey's words come to pass,-
Marcus Garvey's words come to pass,

Can't get no food to eat,
Can't get no money to spend, Wo-oo-oo
Can't get no food to eat,
Can't get no money to spend, Woo -oo- oo

Come, little one and let me do what I can do for you
And you and you alone
Come, little one, wo-oo-oo
Let me do what I can do for you and you alone, woo-oo-oo

He who knows the right thing
And do it not
Shall be spanked with many stripes,

Weeping and wailing and moaning,
You've got yourself to blame, I tell you.
Do right do right do right do right do right,
Tell you to do right, Woo -oo- oo
Beg you to do right, Woo -oo- oo

Where is Bagawire, he's nowhere to be found
He can't be found
First betrayer who gave away Marcus Garvey
Son of Satan, First prophesy,
Catch them, Garvey old
Catch them Garvey, catch them Woo -oo- oo
Hold them Marcus, hold them Woo -oo- oo
Marcus Garvey, Marcus Woo -oo- oo

Oh. Well, thanks. The mystery's solved. It's this bit -

"Come, little one, wo-oo-oo"

But I swear it doesn't sound like that. It sounds like "cockney wanker"...anyway, I've just remembered I need to be somewhere, so I'll get my coat.

Hey! Remember that Bristling Badger post about Japanese lyric sheets and the dodgy translations?
We could do the same with this

Marcus Garvey has come to dance
Marcus Garvey has come to dance

Can't get no fool to tweet
Can't get normality's end

Eva knows the Reichstag
Under the knot
Shall we skank with mini-strikes

(ad nauseam)
