luddite asks: Cleaning MacBooks

i have a white Apple laptop.

re dark smudges on the body of the mac, or a dirty screen, any particular cleaning fluids or anything anybody knows of that are suitable?

(i don't know if warm, soapy water is supposed to be a good idea.)
