anyone knows what these tracks (or styles of music, im thinking for some of it there must be quite strong but really obscure scenes that never get in the more 'mainstream' media so i don't know anything about them.. i hope some of you do:) are;

*from 2:44 to 3:05 (i would specially love to know about this one)
*from 3:48 to 4:17
*from 4:20 to 4:45
*from 5:58 to 6:10
*at 6:20 (track played over analord)
*at 7:25
*8:48 (dunno the track but i know some similar stuff.. this is one there's a whole scene about)

6:20 sounds like surgeon/british murder boys, if you're talking about the rhythm section.

7:25 skream - 2d

at 2:44 there's a few seconds from DHS - this is acid, I think the Jack Dangers mix, on PIAS. the bit going "number 9" and the phased out acid loop.

5:58 is put your fuckin hands in the air by the Unknown on Hithouse.

8:48 could be anything on Industrial Strength records, Lenny Dee etc, Neophyte etc.

the brief blitzbeat at 8:48 sounds a bit like Quoth on steroids

Anyone knows what the first track is? Sounds familiar, but really no idea what it is.

first track is aphex twin - heliosphan

I've never heard the track from 2:44 to 3:05 (which seems to actually be two different tracks)... I might head on over to rephlex.com to make sure it's not a recent release by J.K., Aleksi Perala or DMX Krew...

i love how he mixes that vocal song over the heliosphan, quite wonderful.

yeah really nice that skream track but again, it sounds so much nicer with that atmospheric sound on top : )

last tune? the very last piece in the collage is popol vuh, i've heard him play that same song on sonar 2003 or 2002..

i know the tune after 1:30 but i can't remember who it is, i hope someone else does because it may take a while before i locate it : )

It's what's playing at the very beginning of Aguirre as the Cortes cortege winds its way through the Andes. Incredible scene, one of the most magical in film.

Love that panda Bear song, btw - I took one listen to the album ages ago and was really put off by the beach Boys feel (not a huge fan of Pet Sounds' sound, particularly the vox - some songs are amazing obv).,..must go back to it.

hmm...i'm often suspicious of aphex-related news, given his reputation for taking the piss. if there's demand and rephlex is "on board", why don't they just give the tracks a proper release? some people seem to suspect it's some sort of stealth marketing ploy.

i dont get the point in charging for a boutique (which will be everywhere instantly) digital release rather than making a limited edition physical release. seems quite strange.

Probably to avoid people who'll just send it right back to eBay and try to jump the price. Poor Aphex Groupies paying an extra 3 grand just to own the record.
