really good too - especially the first section with all the elasticated funky and bashment vocal stuff. blood orange is like black sun pt. 2 and is great, the new cooly is outrageous.

mountain dread march/godzilla mix is the peak tho.

Anyone know what became of the Burial DJ Kicks? Will this drag up the whole 'Burial is really someone else in disguise (eg Kode 9)' thing again.

Lazy bastard. I mean how hard is it to nail a one hour mix?

from k7 newsletter:

"For his first and feverishly awaited 12" on !K7 “You Don’t Wash feat. The Spaceape”, Kode9 teams up with his long term collaborator and proves once again that his low slung vocal is the perfect fit to this six minutes of bass heavy bliss."

not really feeling the first part of the mix, but once '2 much chat' gets mixed in it gets good imo.

'blood orange' is sick tho!

Some great stuff, that bug tune at the end though is awful. it's like skeng 4 years later divided by 2

yeah i like that tune. don't think it's all that bad really.

but it is basically 'skeng pt 2.'

can't be bothered to buy it for that reason...plus doesn't really have the impact of 'skeng' either imo.

Forget 'Skeng', that thing's sub-"Stampin".

Flow Dan's pretty much useless of late. He was hot for a brief minute and then... nothing. I'm at the point I'd rather hear Killa P with bug production. He really makes Skeng his record after all.

The segway between, Zomby and Mala is a hot one. Not heard the CD yet but I've heard him do it in a club and it was jarring. The MASSIVE bass Mala brings offset against the melodic arpegios of Zomby works so well. The energy between them is killer.

yeah that mix live is really deep.

a definite head down eyes closed moment.
