Do you think we'll be talking about grime because of the music which was being spat over or the way the mc's portray themselves on the mic?

When you look back to early rap I can't help but listen to how different the music is rather than the rapping. All that electro and lush sampling.

Looking back to now

Have to agree with Tactics - it's the tracks that engage .
It won't take 20 - 10 - 1 year to be lookin back and assessing , it seems apparent now

i think to be diplomatic it will be a mixture of both ,and if you are british or living in london the context the lyrics are written from.
musical wise tho im' well excited about the more r and g stuff it's just sexier, heavier and sexier than garage and badder than r and b. i like the fact that the beats and melodies are usually dark as it adds another layer of feeling to the tracks.

Not that I think it's possible to separate the two. It's vocal music by design.
