"Insolitudes" the legendary LP by the orchestrator of Gainsbourg's "Melody Nelson" has been reissued on vinyl.

This is of course (grins) absolutely infuriating for people like me who own the absurdly rare original, but should be a cause for celebration for everyone else.

Constructed partly from out-takes of MN (the weird stuff that was too bizarre to include) as well as a healthy dose of different material, this is one extremely fascinating, broad bold record. Word was Vannier was determined to never see it reissued (reclusive genius) but it looks like he may have been won over.

This is a must!

I discovered it a couple of years ago when it was first reissued under the title 'L’enfant assassin des mouches'
