"American rap has been a little stagnant of late. In fact, I think I’m one of the only music bloggers NOT already on the Khalifa/Rick Ross/Gucci bandwagon. I just can’t connect with their music in any meaningful way. It all seems a little too gimmicky and reliant on image for my liking – a fact confirmed by Gucci Mane’s recent facial tattoo, a stunt guaranteed to gain him a few column inches.
Anyway, last week a US rapper called J Nolan emailed us his new song ‘How it Feels’ via the blog, and we’ve been playing it since."
