Organ House classics

Looking to educate myself on early 90s Organ led house tunes, cheesy is fine, as long as it's not shit but just with a vocal.

I was watching dance classics on mtv at my parents house and Show Me Love came on and it made me hungry for some more underground sounding Organ tunes.

Not really interested in 140 bpm happy clappy oop narf organ tunes, but feel free to discuss the in this thread.

Plastic Dreams is the first one that came to my mind too. I remember reading that the organ part on there was played through as one take (no loops)!

There were loads of tunes in the early nineties that used the M1 organ sound but cant think of none off the top of my head.
This one is more of the NY garage sound organ....

"damn, that's great! there's a 10-minute version on itunes, tempted..."
I love the way that the sound palette is in some way similar to things like this and you could argue it's somehow part of the same lineage but on the other hand it's totally cold and alien and, yeah, plastic I guess whereas this sounds very warm and human.

Might be a bit old for this thread but ace tune.

Serious Intention - You Don't Know. Any relation to Full Intention I wonder. Love it when the organ goes all bleepy.

Has the embed link function gone from Youtube ?

Has the embed link function gone from Youtube ?

You need to post the embed code from YouTube rather than the link. Changed fairly recently, not sure why?

There's a whole genre related to Bassline called Organ House that basically uses this one instrument across every tune. Seems to be fairly popular but I can't get into despite several attempts. Might have another go though.

First tune that sprang to mind after what has already been posted in this thread:

And this. Sleepwalker - New Thang. Any MK Dub will no doubt have organs on it.

yeah, I'd love some suggestions in the bassline realm. My friend told me about this stuff the other week and I'm curious to hear some of it.
