One for the Jeremy Deller Fans I suppose.

Check this bit of of film I shot at the fair on Hampstead Heath:

download here (http://www.woebot.com/download/fairground.mov.zip)

(for QuickTime deprived people, it shows a high-speed fairground ride accompanied by a bit of old Ardkore)

Casting my mind back I remember some of Blissbloggers writing on Ardkore took in Virilio and Picnolepsy (the intoxicating symptom children try to induce in themselves by spinning around) The use of Ardkore on rides like these kind of hammers this home.

do you remember the cross over with hardcore and the whirlitzers etc,
fairground rides with mc's over hardcore etc 'scream for speed' 'let's go'!
there are a couple of hardcore tracks that use old fashioned fairground organ samples.

There's a guy who posts on www.dnbforum.com under the user name 1992. He's a huge 'ardkore / jungle tekno fan (they even gave him his own forum (http://dnbforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=23)) and apparently puts together mixes to be used on the Reithoffer rides (http://www.reithoffershows.com/) at the New Jersey State Fair (http://www.newjerseystatefair.org/thisyear/aboutn.html). Good stuff too. It's almost a reason to make the trek to Jersey...
