Slackk- She's A Vector, out today

One of our very favourite UK producers drops his most substantial, and eagerly awaited release to date. Slackk plays and makes music with an inimitably rude flavour; whether it's Grime-riddled House or Footworking hypersoul, there's an instinctive, urging ruffness to his sound which can't be taught. Here, he follows his 'Synthetics' cracker on Forefront with five itchily effective House trax with a heightened melodic sensibility. 'Act Nine' is the most colourful and possibly slowest in his arsenal, personalising his rugged jackers beat with a deliciously dissonant synth accent to sound something like Pantha Du Prince gone rogue in East London. On a more stripped down tip, 'Pub Crawl' romps on rare steak drum melodies designed as a tracky killer for the DJs, while his knack for finding and deploying insanely catchy samples is clearly at work on the churning steamer 'Girl Song'. The mental 'Mannerism' secretes almost folksy, spiralling synth motifs over impeccably rude syncopation, leaving his 'Keys In The Bowl' to get involved with Futurist Bassline flows and molten silicon melody. Stone cold deadly material for those that know. Highly recommended!

Out in other places apart from boomkat as well obviously.
