Crackle on Speakers

Sup bitches.

So I have a problem.

Here is the set up that my problem comes from:

Mac - optical link
CD Player - phono link

to a digital amp: Panny SA-XR50.

Speakers are Q Acoustics 2020's

--------

On low end bass a small quiet crackle is present, like a biro vibrating on top of the speaker or something, quiet but present. It is not on the record because it happens on a 10hz - 200hz bass sweep. AT a certain point the buzz/crackle goes, so I know it is only on the low end bass tones - but it is there on enough records to annoy me.

Is happens at quite low volumes too, when amp is running at 30% of max it is still present.

-----

Does any one have any suggestions? Other than try new speakers?

still happens - just less.

I should still be able to alter the eq settings and have my speakers perform correctly?

I was having the same problem, found this old posting, messing around with Realtek, turns out 7.1 speakers where clicked, changed it to 5.1 and it fixed everything, thank you much man!
