anne widdecombe has just tried to give my son a balloon - i stepped in quickly and explained i'd rather not. she's in town for david amess (remember basildon 92?) - he's still got the same grin.
then had to explain why he couldn't have a balloon - had a go at explaining asylum denying and the boy to his credit said 'that man's not very kind is he?' - took him (son, not mp) to play football and gave him an extra big bit of one of his remaining easter eggs
who else have we spotted out on the stump?

Diane "I'm sure the black parents of Hackney will understand why I have sent my son to a private school" Abbott has been seen quite a bit outside her campaign office on Stoke Newington's Church street. Not by me tho, as I've been away.

She offered my mate's kid some "socialist balloons". My mate wasn't clear in what way they were socialist, but didn't want to get into a conversation about the system under which they had been manufactured.

The office is based in a swanky Estate Agents.

considering our constituency is one of the 'key seats to win' for both labour and tory (labour hold the seat with a majority of under 2000) there has been a distinct lack of political activity round here. the greens came for a chat about 2 months ago and some libdem types were hanging round in gangs and ineffectually handing out leaflets last saturday. otherwise its the usual vapid bollocks pushed through the letterbox and straight in the recycling.

do these twats want my vote or don't they care?*

*rhetorical question

She offered my mate's kid some "socialist balloons".

I reckon that the SWP et al would be better off trying to get people to take their 'socialist ballons' rather than socialist newspapers.

classic!! The BBC news on the night quoted TBs office spinning that the kids were booming which is "a modish, teenage expression of approval" LOL
