recognizing that this is a pretty impossible decision...maybe either patti smith "horses" or the stooges "funhouse".

Back in Feb 2010, I tried to compile my top ten albums of all time. The list would probably be a bit different now but I think the top four would be the same.

1. My Bloody Valentine – Loveless
2. The Fall – The Wonderful & Frightening World of The Fall
3. Scott Walker – Tilt
4. Fennesz – Endless Summer
5. Arthur Russell – World of Echo
6. Disco Inferno – DI Go Pop
7. Oval – 94 Diskont
8. Wu-Tang Clan – Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)
9. Kate Bush – Hounds of Love
10. Sonic Youth – Sister

Look: Wu-Tang's in there!

Remember when Woebot made that list of the 100 best records ever made? Good times!

ha this old chestnut. i'm actually sad enough to keep a top 100 list that i fuck about with occasionally. Number 1 slot periodically revolves between Tago Mago, Metal Box, Funhouse and In a Silent Way.

James Brown at the Apollo, though not an LP proper.

Would take Satta Massagana before 36 Chambers but Heptones' On Top over both

Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street
Langen Praja - Dhenggung Turulare

I've only heard a few of these all the way through

I found it not too hard to pick a favourite album but I don't think I could pick a favourite track ever, or even a top ten. Doing a nuum top ten was hard enough

My favourite track on Enter the Wu Tang is C.R.E.A.M.

worthy of the desert island anyway.

Electronic wise

4Hero - Parallel Universe is the jungle I would put in time capsule. Much competition but nothing captures the best of everything like that LP
Model 500 - Deep Space
Burial LP is still better then all the talk around it

Shame we never got an LP from Steve Gurley.

Computer World! All of Kraftwerk's albums from Autobahn to TdF really

Not many electronic albums really spring to mind, what with it being a singles genre and all that. Obvious ones include

Boy In Da Corner
Burial (only great album to come out of dubstep for me)
Endtroducing
Music Has The Right...

Edit - also Neptune's Lair
