The Mighty Reese Bassline

Invented in 1988 by Kevin Saunderson aka. Reese, perhaps most famously used on Renegade's 'Terorrist' and recently used on Duke Damont's number 1 single 'Need U (100%)', this has surely got to be one of the most distinctive and delightful sounds in dance music history.

Please post examples of it being used effectively, and perhaps let us speculate as to why this particular bass-sound is so imposing and gratifying.

That's interesting, I probably wouldn't have marked that down as one cos it's higher up the scale than usual.

I can't imagine a thread about Reese basslines will attract nerds, mate!
