cldnt help but notice that the Crumbling Loaf's blog disappeared recently...i know that a lot of you Brit bloggers know each other offline..anybody know what happened, why he quit, if he is ok?

well, quitting a blog is nothing out of the ordinary...but when someone also just deletes it entirely--archives and all--it usually signifies a fit of rage, frustration, depression, etc....

too bad...he is a great writer...can say more in a single paragraph than most

has anyone thought of inviting ol' uncle loaf over here for a yarn, his two bob would no doubt no appreciated

i always enjoyed his tales of tescos supermarket restaurants - and the people from just down the road, postal workers and the like

bring back the loaf!

LOaf is usually in rude health, John (if you mean by that what i think you do)...he can be pretty misanthropic...mister crustyguy :D
