There is a place in every city in the UK where lost rings are collected. It is free to the public, and there is no way of getting in trouble for collecting them. If you can guess where it is, I will tell you. The answer is worth . If you people mess with me I will not reveal the answer.

Go.

Is it in Hastings?

No, but it could be. I have never found any rings there, but others may have if they know where to look.

There may indeed be rings there, I don't doubt it, but no way I'm going to fishing in a turdpool.

lost and found at the town hall...

yeah surely it's got to be either drainage or bureaucracy related?

Maybe not sewers but some kind of water-filtering system.

Maybe not the town hall but the cop shop or something (downside - won't they remember you if you keep going back?)

More likely bureaucracy related if yog is indeed 'Lord of the Files'.

No, there are definitely no encounters with authority. This is strictly a solo operation until I cash them in.

on the beach i thought to myself. well i bet using a metal detector on a busy stretch in summer someone could dig up a fair bit of jewelery.

so the answer is n the beach/park etc with a metal detector...

Is it at gig venues/clubs? Sure I remember Kurt Cobain saying he made money/got stuff picking it off the floor afterwards?

Other guess...swimming pools?

I lost my own geeky databank watch at Nirvana's Nottingham Rock City gig and found a fake Rolex minutes later. Microkarma.

I can't believe that I'm missing out on all these rings, scattered throughout the nation. Now I know what Sonic The Hedgehog must feel.

Are they dreams of weird, Clyclopean buildings with angles that arn't quite right that instill an otherworldy dread?

You want to get that looked at, I hear it can turn out badly... ;)

Sometimes I'll be drifting off to sleep, thinking about something or other and some part of my brain will try and google for it. Then I'll wake up a little bit "Wait a minute, my fucking MIND doesn't have an ethernet connection." All those William Gibson novels as a kid, eh...

We used to ring the operator on the phone at moments like that, pre-internet. Best one was at 4 in the morning and I couldn't remember what the pieces on the monopoly board were, the operator lady had the whole call centre arguing about it for me.

Hmmm, looks like some kind of portal. Has anyone tried dropping an elaborately constructed sandwich into it? That would seem to be the obvious course of action.

Oh, ok - more competently geeky it seems to be a reference to a .jpg, not sure which post it's in though.

Swears - is it a deleted image in your post on the previous page?
