Has 'glue' ever influenced music?

There must have been a million punk bands that sniffed glue... the real question is if petrol sniffing ever made it big?

What about butane huffing? Or nitrious?

Yes, this low-budget recreational drug fuelled an early 80s UK movement of skinhead bands who played under the banner of "Rock Against Communism". What Johnny Thunders was to smack, Indecent Exposure were to Evostik. This trend was then resurrected in 1998 by the Lighthouse Family.
