saw the light
A couple of years ago I was sat waiting for a friend to have his spot on an open-mic night. Someone was on stage with an acoustic guitar and a book of chords to popular songs, murdering 'Under the Bridge'. However, he did manage to transform his ridiculous performance by having his friends in various parts of the pub all start singing the falsetto 'Under the bridge downtown' vocals during the reprise at the end of the song. No one involved had any musical talent, but the unexpectedness of the moment was beautiful in spite of the ugliness of the sound.
