so i'm passing through Carnaby St in Soho at about 10pm this friday and there's whole groups of hip hop heads focused in packs. everyone in baseball caps. the smell of skunk strong in the air. no stereos, one guy beatboxing, one guy freestyling and inevitably someone else with a big video camera catching the action. more groups around the corner in some side street.
as much as UK hip hop mostly bores me, anyone know what the deal was? it's good to see them taking it to the streets, literally.
