It's basically around the generational passing of a 'Mermaid' tourist attraction in the South. Not sure if it's real or a 'mock' reality thing...ANYWAY the point I'm trying to make is, what they fuck are SuperGrass - the penultimate Limey mainstream Brit-pop non-identity band - diddling with weird-Americana for??? I mean there is so much more in the UK thats just as weird, banal, kooky etc...Possibly the most irrelevant nonsensical, but ultimately cynically ironic crass COMMERICAL(crapitalist?) piece of pop detritus I've ever seen. What drugs were the 'creative' types that came up with this 'concept' on?? It makes me think of the time when ALi-G had Gaz SuperGrass on and asked him why indie bands try to look like monkeys.
