I haven't heard much on the Leaf label for a while, but Colleen's albums on there are extremely beautiful. It's been described as Elizabethan ambient music, a goofy but rather attractive notion- harp melodies and cathedral echoes, and some delicate layering. This may sound all a bit 4AD, but not at all- it's more like Global Communication or Eno.

Really really worth checking her website out (http://www.colleenplays.org/).

She was going to play a gig at the ICA with Charles Hayward, but didn't. Boo!

Never heard of her - Some of that stuff is very nice. Reminds me a bit of Leila's instrumental stuff on Rephlex.

BTW - Where' is she from dya know? 'Colleen' is irish for 'girl'.
