did it in the studio on 2 decks back in august.

heavy on the reggaeton early on and then settles down into the dancehall vibes.

dj /rupture says ...

"I highly recommend the new Heatwave mix - 70 minutes of reggaecentric tunes for waist-winding, no flashy DJisms, just quality selectors selecting quality. And sounding that airhorn! The reach and flow is on-point; for my tastes this is the most listenable online mix in a long time"

"i've been digging the whole heatwave movement--bringing together dancehall, reggaeton, hip-hop and related strands--for a minute now ... the mix is a great compendium of all the big tunes that have been heating up clubs around the world over the last year, with some remixes, classics, and specials thrown in for good measure. one thing that strikes me about the mix is the actual style of mixing, which seems appropriately hybrid: the transitions fall somewhere between the smooth, sometimes extended blends of hip-hop and the abrupt, pull-up style of reggae. new jams appear with hardly any warning (save for those alarmist sirens), keeping the vibe going strong. this is club music, dance music, fun music, world music. listen to it loud."

mr blentwell says:

"With a strictly dubplate selection of reggae, dancehall, reggaeton, soca, hip-hop, jungle etc. the UK Djs Heatwave some through with an outstanding mix. This is a MUST DOWNLOAD! Heatwave is so hot right now!"

"47 tracks of absolute bashment from across the universal spectrum of party party and the Jamaican sound. The Heatwave/Scandalbag/Punchline/Musical Bear camp has been the inspirational success story of '05 for those of us in the States looking to promote parties that blur lines..."

"This set is miles better than the usual dancehall sets out there. Gabriel and Masta G have been perfecting their recipe with a homebrew of spicy dancehall for the winter season"
