OK - given it a couple of listens - and it gets my seal of approval! (for what its worth). Very rootsy dread business most of it - and all quite low key - even those punanny versions... (how many different takes of it did Bailey do??)

7. the morwells- 'kingston 12 tuffy' (trojan)
8. the morwels & prince jammy- 'jammin for survival' (trojan)

Im really feelin this tune. Dya happen to know the name of the riddim?

10. tenor saw- 'no wuk pon sunday' (penthouse)

Ah! This is the 'pressure slide' riddim - made famous in the 90's by Beres Hammond's mega-hit: 'What one dance can do'...

16. tony rebel- 'good instruction' (sky juice)
17. joseph cotton- 'god a work' (sky juice)
18. professor frisky & tony rebel- 'reality' (sky juice)

Do you have these on 7? Ive got that Tony Rebel tune on a 'Tony Rebel meets Garnett Silk' Lp - but I think it might be on a different riddim...

25. gregory isaacs- 'rumours' (dancehall classics)
26. jc lodge- 'telephone love' (greensleeves)
27. lady g- 'nuff respect' (greensleeves)
28. telephone version (greensleeves)

Thats a nice taster. Its about time someone did a 'rumours' riddim megamix!

thanks, but low key?! - i prefer 'purist' ;)

3 come up at reggae riddims.com: 2 versions of the 'punaany' lyric and 'healthy body'. add dubplates and specials you could have lots!
