I saw him at the Word Bombs conference in the mid 90s, but I can't remember much about what he said except that he had screwed a lot of his students in the 60s. It's conceivable that this is all he talked about, I dunno.
My lasting memory of the day is seeing the no-mark twats from Green Anarchist trying to disrupt the procedings because of the presence of one Stewart Home. Their tactics included hanging about outside with placards denouncing him (including posters with his photo in the centre of a giant swastika) and asking him bonkers questions in the cafeteria during the lunchbreak.
This was of course much more entertaining than many of the speakers, good though they were.
