wow, and if you had any doubts that the brit awards were utterly racist the only black artist (bar one of the sugababes) in the british specific awards can be found in the "urban" category.

looking on the bright side, imagine if they all the nominees show up, all it would take is one bomb, just one...

No surprises, except maybe the Arcade Fire.

And the fact that the public obv. can't be trusted to vote on awards on theit own anymore, they need additional Brit 'panellists.'

The 'Brits Academy', God, it sounds so pretentious. Like a Sandhurst for guitarists. Why is Bruce Springsteen on the list? Has he actually recorded something?

The brits is so comercially focused the awards just come down to the biggest sellers, so James Blunt will clean up with the biggest selling album and single of last year (shame on the UK) , but I'm going to try and avoid paying any attention ..

not that i want to stand up for the brits, but this is patently incorrect- look at the list again and concentrate ;)

nah, not even that - the nominations are automatically the five biggest selling songs of the year, i guess that means crazy frog isnt british...

I'm already toying with the idea of 'he's a bit of a James' as rhyming slang.

indeed. i've seen a couple of references to that in print media i think. for now i prefer just saying James Cunt every now and then to ram it home

Is that what rock is these days?

only if you think that the brits are representational of what is good in music...
...but then again there aren't any good british rock bands that spring to mind anyway, the japs, the yanks and the finnish have us beaten squarely.
