Octavia Butler died

interesting. what works would you recommend?

I heard the day after, and have been bummed out all week.

I like Dawn best, of all her stuff. Found it pretty challenging and disturbing and fascinating.
Not as into her Clay's Ark series, although they are still pretty interesting. She was a great mind and a great writer. I got to see her speak, years ago, with Samuel Delany at MIT and it was pretty inspiring. She had years of great books in her yet.
