xavier naidoo

how incredibly annoying is this music?? my german co-renter has had a xavier naidoo cd on loop for a few weeks now and it's driving me insane. pure goethe institut pop section material. from the world cup logo to this unbearable shite it's clear that germany has sunk as low as possible (except for my flatmate, who's a doll of course).

is there anything worse than naidoo or is this it, the lowest common denominator for german pop today?

I honestly never dreamed that I'd find myself defending German pop music ... but since moving to Berlin I've been pleasantly surprised. Don't judge the whole country's output on the execrable (and sadly ubiquitous Naidoo) ...
