there's a load of old films available for free on archive.org

so far i'm downloading his girl friday,which i've never seen,and have already got the paleface by buster keaton,which featured the best entrance i've ever seen in a film....
anyway,i'm kind of out of touch with films,anything else here i really should be getting?

Bring out the vacuum
Fritz Lang's 'M' is highly regarded. There's a lot on there that's solidly part of the critical canon, generally considered important to the history of cinema, etc. but I have to admit I haven't seen any of them! eg. silents like 'La Voyage dans le lune', 'Battleship Potemkin' and 'The Phantom of the Opera'.

I'm disappointed 'Sherlock Jr' isn't among the Buster Keaton flicks... that has one of the coolest sequences in a movie ever.

I heard great things about 'Das Kabinett des Doktor Caligari'... should've watched it when I had access to Omaar's copy!

Looks like lots of reasonably entertaining kitsch stuff too...

And I don't know about you, but a Communist-era Czech sci-fi flick from 72 sounds tempting. :D

Hmmm... only subtitled in Czech, maybe not something I can commit to. :)
