The great 80's brit synthpop thread

Ok so I been trawling through soulseek trying to remember songs from my youth and only one song per act. I got em playlisted like this but is there anything any of the oldtimers in here would add and where would you slot it in ???

...help much appreciated

culture club - time
rick astley - never gonna give you up
scritti politti - perfect way
wa wa nee - stimulation
wham - everything she wants
ABC - look of love
duran duran - wild boys
adam ant - antmusic
heaven 17 - geisha boys temple girls
orange juice - rip it up
elvis costello - everyday i write the book
kajagoogoo - too shy
pet shop boys - west end girls
style council - long hot summer
tears for fears - everybody wants to rule the world
spandau ballet - true
police - walking on the moon
clash - straight to hell
cure - boys don't cry
new order - blue monday
human league - don't you want me
yazoo - don't go
depeche mode - just cant get enough
soft cell - tainted love
gary numan - cars
ultravox - vienna
visage - fade to grey

...and i think only one of those is not like the others, one of those things just doesn't belong, can you tell me which one is not like the others before i finish this ???

shottage... ;)

...howard jones - new song can go right before wham

that just reminded me of curiosity killed the cat - hang on in there baby
blow monkeys - diggin your scene
hipsway - honeythief

so now I'm wondering which wet wet wet song and simply red tune ???

anyone got any more obscure brit electro or new romantic stuff they can recommend. I was a pretty poppy kid...

cheers

swingout sister... oh hell yes

...and nah, matt it's for an 80's house warming party, i think I'm going to throw

so it's a long way from dubstep but if i had to choose between dubsteping in the noughties and new romanticizing in the 80's it'd be lace shirts, eyeliner big hair, shoulder pads, and winklepickers each and every time...

^^^can't say as i know that one but if it's 80's brit I'll go on the hunt...

...as for wetwetwet it's a toss up between angel eyes and wishing i was lucky
simply red'll have to be holding back the years

cant forget about su su sudio...

...might have to add ghost town specials and madness ourhouse seeing as how the cure and clash are in there and they're not really synth pop

gonna have to include wang chung in there too not so much for their music but what a great name for a band

sigue sigue sputnik I'll have, along with bros and go west...cheers

erasure hmmm... I'll take yazoo instead but if you can think of a good song of theirs ???

a-ha were norweigian i think ???

naked eyes _ i know that name but can't put song to it ???

never heard of sly fox or sandra. Are they brit and if so I'll see whats up ???

so has anyone picked the odd one out form the original list ???

Im pretty sure a-ha were from norvay despite take on me being an ace tune

...wa wa nee are australian

and i know i shouldn't put a cover in there but c'mon we're talking bomb the bass - say a little prayer with the fabulously vocally endowed Maureen. I reckon she can slot in before orange juice...

...ever wondered what happens to faded 80's pop stars ???

slye

Ness Rowlah

Norwegian Wood
haircut 100 - "favourite shirts"
propaganda - "dr mabuse"
jan hammer - "miami vice theme"
kim wilde - "kids in america"

and if you are totally utterly shameless
and really want to scrape the barrell

sabrina - "boys"
sam fox - "touch me"

then you will have to make up for it with
john foxx - "underpass"
