well they've put stuff out which isn't as good as the new stuff.
the new stuff is lovely, post rockish set up with soaring beach boys harmonies, grand arrangements that seem to be touched by musicals, and improv too strangely dusty old americana, very warm and summery.
They remind me of van dyke parke, slint, touches of popol vuh, ride, it's thoughtful pop. i really like it and i find it very hard to like rockish music really.
last night they were great, a bit stiff, the audiences at london live music events are as always horrible, sniffy scensters that comment all the way through bands, killing the intimacy the music needs.
