DJ CX Kidtronik (Sound-ink Records, NYC)
Getting muddy in the early south, CX was a prophet to that dirty and bassy booty noise that the continent of hotlanta was primed to erupt. Working with the K.I.N. alongside Saul Williams and the Further 3 M.C.s, he spanned the first storming of crunk and rode the fallout into the grime and soot of plugged-inBrooklyn. Here he has concocted a crooklyn take on crunk, producing the bootleg fantasyies “Electric Boogie Laser Battle Scratch Party Death Mix” and “ILLER”, as well as working the decks with Anti-Pop Consortium and then Airborn Audio. When all the dust on the dirty south has settled, CX is getting onefor the road. Moving like a frantic planet, he will set two records into wobbly, dynamic tandem. CX is one of the inheritors of the maps of Sun Ra, the paths of Parliament, and heir to the NY subway system rattle and shake. He is a culprit who must be caught.

An aural compound of fresh styles, they traverse the worlds of blip hop, dub, modern composition, ambient, and breakcore to arrive at their locus in today's music. With a performance based approach, centered around self-designed digital instruments and dynamic real time composition, their tracks constantly mutate in communication with audience and environment.
