I was complaining the other day about Phil Daniels on Eastenders (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phil_Daniels) but now I think he's the best thing on the show.

Got me to thinking about the post-Peggy Mitchell/Barbara Windsor thing they have of enrolling the London demi-monde in the show:

• Madhur Jaffrey
• That Kemp Spandau Ballet bloke
• Shane Ritchie

some of their best characters IMHO

and i was wondering who else they might enlist in future

(not actually reccomending them but it'd be quite amusing i suppose)

• Guy Ritchie (c'mon it'd be really funny)
• Damon Albarn (again, c'mon it'd be really funny, though perhaps with the Jake/Danny characters they already tried and he refused????)
• MIA (c'mon that'd be fucking hilarious, inevitable surely????)

Damon Albarn already acts like a cliched mockney muppet whose dialogue and accent have been penned by Cambridge graduate scriptwriters whose knowledge of the east end is informed by a couple of Michael Caine movies they saw whilst up at 'varsity.

I'd like to see the cast include Jake and Dinos Chapman. They'd shake up the social and cultural vibe down at the Old Vic good an proper - cor lumme not 'arf...

she was. very briefly. jake and dinos chapman, that's quite a good one. damien hurst would probably fit right in as well.

goldie has already been in hasnt't he. was aba shanti really in eastenders?
