Debaser really seems to be taking off these days. He was a regular on the TorontoJungle.com boards when I was lurking there. Posted some nice old time Ragga Jungle mixes. And his Press Up Records site ain't too shabby neither.

this is a different debasser. the guy in my mix is an english guy. he is part of the uk bass scene. part of the wide crew.

i was confused between the two. i only heard about the canadian guy recently.

canada is the new shoreditch.

Yeah there's definitely some good stuff coming out out this enormous place at the moment. I missed Les Georges but caught Lesbians on Ecstasy at a show in Montreal a couple of years ago. They were amazing. Kids on TV too, Kid Koala, Debaser. And you're missing out if you've never checked out a live set by Lederhosen Lucil.

Great mix - I particularly enjoyed the Plasticman rendition of Pump Up The Jam. Anything else by plasticman available online ?

There was a really good Plasticman mix on Big Apple before they shut down. It had Pump Up the Jam + an epic video-gamish track and some nice skanky bits. If people are interested I could upload it to my server.

Buck 65 and Sixtoo, too. We bought records from the same (read: only) place in Halifax.
