I love the way US law enforcement professionals equate a surly 'bad ass' attitude with a heightened state of security. The wife & I encountered this all the way through Newark airport not long after 9/11. Makes you realise how professional their British counterparts really are.

NYC is fucked, but England is just as fucked. Just hold the wrong passport and they'll do everything the people in New York do to non-US pass holders.
Basically any airport is fucked if your passport or skin are not the right color. Fuck the home office, US INS and everyone like them. Bunch of arrogant, self-righteous dickhead bureaucrats.
