while this is not necessarily an illustration of a particular style of choen's, id say this mixed media piece has the influence of the late great nam june paik written all over it

I have a couple of his small art books. Great stuff, and very forthcoming about his ideas and feelings about art and life in general. There's a story floating around online (it may have been in Giant Robot, too) about how he was stuck in jail in Japan for a while after an incident with an undercover cop. He does illustration for GR in a lot of issues, along with some occasional work here and there.

yes I think may have actually come across Choe through a GR link or some other related site

I'd like to find more of his work in print.
He has a collaboration piece on South First in Austin that I'll try to peep soon
