how about to inspire some discussion...

...seriously, i am interested to know why that word as a tshirt design moved you to take a swipe at me and my *ahem* standards ???

if you saw someone wearing that, would you think they were trivialising the holocaust and all that went along with as a gimmick or see it as a serious pro or anti semitic statement ???

Possibly trivialising. I mean T-shirts are hardly the best place to make a coherent political statement on this kind of topic are they? The font and everything else about the design seems so bland, so better suited to some kind of semi-ironic "I Love Porn" kind of T-shirt, that its a bit weird. Unless this is some kind of devastating attack on the primacy of the holocaust in Western historical iconography, or some kind of comment on the ultimately banal nature of its use as political bargaining chip. It leaves me feeling slightly uncomfortable tho. Possibly really ill-advised???

...perhaps i should explain

i just reclaimed the word 'HOLOCAUST' from jewish copyright is all, using standard varsity lettering and inset urban/rave camo design...

...apparently israel copyrighted it so no other peoples can have a genocide and equate it to their 'holocaust'

...kinda like this

my roman inspired, corporate nazi, reclamation standard of the nike copyrighted word 'AIR' using jordan to make the statement about sweatshops...

...thats a t shirt as well if anyones interested

if they inspire animated discussion as conversation pieces or simply make you think a little differently then it works for me...

and your proof for this act of jewish copyright is where?

i would really like to see it undisputed truth.

there doesn't seem to be any evidence for that, sounds like someone thick has been literalising claims for holocaust exceptionalism ('mummy why can't i have a holocaust')

there was a thing in the nytimes a while ago about the simon wiesenthal people registering holocaust.com and the naacp registering nigger.com

[edit] some of cartoons produced in response to the jyllands-posten inanity depict jews with the same exageratedly semitic features of nazi era pictures, which is quite funny or dispiriting considering they were probably drawn by arabs

I'll see what i can dig up...

if not, then someone has lied to me and I believed them...haha

...big deal !!!

it won't be the first time it wont be the last...

...I think the t shirt is more pro semitic anyway, in that it reclaims the word and symbol and puts it in your face for you to deal with and if it doesn't

then it's only a bloody t shirt anyway...

...one t-shirt is not going to change the world and hardly worth getting offended about

^^^what about this one then ??? :slanted:

yeah that's the problem.
You were so into that piece of unchecked racist rumour so much you decided to make a t-shirt based on it, and i imagine you would sell it if you could.

What does that make you undisputed truth?

does it still make you so what?

...if you're gonna call me names just fucking out with it cos you're coming off like a dick

besides i've sold a couple already...

hardly proof but a fairly interesting read...

A Review of Norman Finkelstein's
The Holocaust Industry: Reflections on
the Exploitation of Jewish Suffering

by James A. Montanye

Viewing history through an economic lens shows how "the Holocaust" has become a proprietary trademark. The murder of between three and six million Jews (industry estimates usually exceed historical estimates) was not intrinsically unique to a century that witnessed the wholesale slaughter of many ethnic groups, including the Nazis' systematic killing of Gypsies, homosexuals, and physically and mentally disabled individuals. The twentieth century's body count ran into the hundreds of millions, with many victims in the latter years being killed by Israeli-made weapons. Even so, the Holocaust Industry has created a property right in the "uniqueness" of the holocaust. This right is defended aggressively. Every application of the Holocaust label to other large-scale atrocities, most recently to the systematic killing of Muslims in Kosovo, is actively opposed. (Governments that sponsor atrocities also oppose the application of this label in order to soften the public perception of their actions.) Xerox opposes the generic labeling of document reproduction as xeroxing for exactly the same reason.

The aggressive defense and maintenance of the Holocaust brand have been so successful that even a few gentiles have gained wealth and notoriety by masquerading as Jewish holocaust survivors-an ironic example of chutzpah. Watchdog groups are alert for outsiders' poaching Holocaust rents in this fashion. Some Jews also capture Holocaust rents by masquerading as holocaust survivors, usually winning industry praise rather than condemnation for their efforts.

...I guess I'm part of the holocaust industry and what better way to keep it in peoples faces than on a t shirt ;)

and maybe black civil rights as well...

this, from the same article is for you mms...

Finkelstein notes that the threat of indiscriminate, ad hominem slanders for alleged anti-Semitism has long been an effective deterrent to the public discussion of Holocaust Industry issues, which may help to explain the lack of a robust economic literature in this area. A few countries (Canada, France, and Germany, for example) have adopted laws that limit or otherwise chill public discussion. Several U.S. states presently require "approved" holocaust studies in public schools. The value of these public policies, from the industry's perspective, lies in preventing uninhibited discussions that would dissipate Holocaust rents.
