DIY A4 paper CD case

I've made a couple of these, they can look quite smart if you get the hang of it.
Do you reckon this would work for a 7 inch record sleeve, perhaps made with slightly thicker paper/card?

Probably, but why make it boringly square-formed? Those look almost like fabric-made cases, only less reliable. I have a thin cardboard lamina in each of my plastic cd-folders (which are fabric made), I think you should consider that too unless you want your CDs to break at first chance.

true about the scratches, paper is a bad idea. also kind of pointless seeing how ugly the result is. wouldn't it be best to just keep the plastic boxes?

Really? Oh shit. I've made a few of these for CDs and DVDs that were lying about caseless.

I reckon they look quite nice. I've got a spool of 50 CDRs with no cases included, so this seemed like a practical solution, don't get the idea I've thrown all my old jewel boxes out for the sake of making these!
