looking for a basic multi-tracker with pitch shift and maybe some basic effects...

need to start doing my mixes digitally like all the other lazy-asses out there... saves loads of time and energy right? especially I'm a be traveling a lot this year and would be nice to make mixes on the go.

what do y'all use?

Are you mac or pc Zhao? Try Traktor - you can download a trial for free,

or if you're getting ambitious, Ableton. Either are great, Traktor is most definitely DJ software, Ableton more of a sequencer but most people I know do mixes on that now.

I use a whole host of stuff, from minidisc and cassette tape to Ableton, Traktor, Garageband ( it's much maligned but I love it, easy=peasy ) and Logic and Protools, depending on how I'm feeling.

With these things it's quite helpful to have a soundcard that has at least two stereo outputs so you can use one of them for cueing.
