i guess a better question would be: where do people get their information? no one can possibly buy all of the 7s and 12s that come out every month..
so far this year I've found a few gems, improbably good, that should be destroying speakers worldwide:
Last War - 10/10, 60/70 BPM, incredibly hard hitting, heavy heavy bass in a crisp and polished "future-roots" style. all 4 tracks I heard were songs about sensi - massive ones at that.
Blood Diamond - 8/10, around 80 BPM, uplifting rootsy number. sweet, not as aching as Hard Times or Confessions.
Shaolin Temple - 10/10, 90/100 BPM, possibly the most evil riddim ever??? sizzla cut is pure murda.
Sizzurp - 7/10, 60/70 bpm a strange one... but rocking. tiny squigly sounds, modern ragga beat...
Bad Dog - 5/10, skeletal bass frame slowed down to a crawl... pretty effective but don't know
Hurting Inside - 5/10, pretty generic but decent rootsy style.
