I try to get more detailed info - but on May 4 The Young Gods come to NYC again to play an acoustic set @ Swiss Inst. downtown.

I hope they come back and play Dublin again but there's nothing confirmed just yet. Saw them here (again) about a year and a half ago and they played better than ever. One of the best gigs I've ever been to actually.

Best of all was that it was the new stuff that totally blew me away. One long track in particular, I guess maybe the title track from the new album, had this 2 or 3 minute noise whiteout halfway through before they kicked it off again and sounded just incredible. Lots of good stuff from Second Nature too which I really like.

And the energy... Wow. Franz Treichler has got to be one of the best frontmen out there.

I hear that smn !
Have seen Ye Gods a few times , but never in acoustic mode.
Franz has been well in to things Amazonian for years
and i believe they try to set another show here at a venue with seats ,
may involve some S American shaman tribal vibe.
Will be great to have them back , old friends Gods
