He was perhaps helped by the fact that all of the four acts who preceded him were atrocious, but the wait and the huge queue up the stairs for the few tickets left over from guest-list no-shows (due I'm sure to 'Guardian gig of the week' hype) was well worth it.
The music (which was all new) was much closer in style to the Animal Collectives 'sung tongs' than the (lonely-sounding) Panda Bear album, the mood is more upbeat and densely layered samples replace the guitars - the performance was simply him working a mixing desk whilst singing harmonies.
Looking forward to a new album...
