Found this thread and thought I'd revive it because this whole area is kind of my hobby horse and I write about it a lot.

Nice, I'm downloading the first of your compilations now. I was too young to get into that stuff at the time and later on never got around to really check it out beyond Flying Saucer Attack, Seefeel, Amp and Third Eye Foundation.
Ah the Bristol scene! I was really excited when The Wire recently did that mini-feature on FSA et al. but ended up pretty pissed off that it totally avoided using the term "post-rock".
