just read the Ccru thing on k-punk that Simon Reynolds wrote in 1998

was wondering what happened to the Ccru and where they are now

is they're position dated now?

did they just evaporate leaving k-punk to rant on their behalf?

.

"Just as Kurtz disappeared “up river” into the Vietnamese jungle, the CCRU have strategically withdrawn to their operational base in an apartment in nearby Leamington Spa."

Could they still be in the apartment ?

I dunno, I preferred their old stuff.

The Hyperstition thing feels a bit "Dungeons and Dragons" to me.

And the anal retentive in me has to correct Mr Reynolds - Col. Kurtz disappeared up-river into the Cambodian jungle.

Given that surreal numbers came from Conway's interest in the theory of games, I expect it to become more "Noughts and Crosses" as Dread's encounter with Badiou on number continues.

I read somewhere there is a retrospective book in the offing.

Perhaps they deleted the website as part of a lucrative publishing deal, lol.
