So the other day there was this documentary on Radio 4 about Roger Linn, who made the first digital drum machine, as used by Prince and everybody else and changing music forever.

And here's a request - can anyone convert this into an mp3 or a stream or something that doesn't require Real Player??

Not sure if it's still the case but the version of realplayer you can get from the bbc site is supposed to be less loaded with crapware.

Otherwise plug a minidisc/dat/cassette recorder into your computer output?

can't wait to hear this, i've been going on about the Linn drum sounds on 'Dare' all week.

Audio Hijack is a really good programme for recording streams, but it's realtime, not a ripper.

i know how to rip a stream but i have never been able to actually listen to the bbc's streams on my mac. it just doesn't work ever ever ever.

....so if anyone can post an mp3 or something i will be super chuffed :)

Lol sorry Edward, i think you need realplayer to listen to BBC stuff.

And you leave Spandau alone! Chant No 1 is fucking brilliant.
