H5n1 superbug

big news all over the left papers today, the asian superbug, feared in the new scientist at the end of last year pre tsunami as being a real worry this year. Possibly worsened by the tsunami crisis no doubt.

there was talk in the newspapers of cataclysm, mass evacuations and gridlocked roads, inflatable mortuaries and big time quarantine.

of course there is some doubt to place over the real seriousness of this kind of talk tho and why the fear was leaked today, via an unnamed 'senior government source'.

the two other big stories were the conservatives speech and plans on immigration and the threat in iraq of big trouble at the elections.
it's not in the news this evening either. perhaps it could have been to distract us slightly.
i can't help feeling there is some truth in it being possible tho of course.

this had to go in nature, altho it's hotly contested whether virus' are living things.

H5N1 is bird flu virus which spread flu infection ,actually H5n1 virus comes from Wild Birds.so we can say that bird flu spread from birds.one does need to protect the avians from the deadly bird fluvirus .this is gaining epidemic proportions across asia and russia . sometimes it even infects humans too. Relenza is a most popular medicine for flu.you will get good response after take relenza.for more information you could visist this url: http://www.spam.ca/s33713-s-relenza.aspx Relenza is not recommended for people suffering from asthma.

its not yet the time to panic, but the last big influenza crisis killed 50 million people worldwide. its happened many times, which is why governments are (or should be) doing so much preparation.

on another topic, theres been some new developments on the question of whether viruses are living things - scientists now think that viruses may in fact be the precursors to all life on earth:

Don't jump

Looks by now that the H5n1 virus has had trouble (so far) jumping to humans.
But if you live above or with your chickens , don't breath in !
Also seems it could be partially tied to people smuggling poultry across Euro borders,
certainly tied to where wild birds fly / migrate to during the season's ,
Africa was supposed to be 'next' following that pattern ...

Here around Chicago area we have a mumps outbreak (from a usual 5 cases a year to currently more then 700).
Seems it was spread mostly by 2 initial highly contagious - and not so very thoughtful people on flights into the area and now has spread outward in every direction ...

That was 2 people , on one plane !
Dunno if they would be enough , but people who are sic should wear face masks/ even be made to wear them on a fight.
In Asia the sic person wears a mask as a matter of course , esp. in polite Japan.
Never know what's coughing behind you , next to you or in front and is blowing all over you.
Airlines gotta figure something out besides just packing them in as small a space as possible -
aah but they won't until people die first , something bad happens.

Anyway, H5n1 may live to see another season and perhaps become H5n2 -3-4
