50 inspirations

OK guys - tell me if this is too much of an 'I Love Music' question for Dissensus ;) , but I was just re-reading Woebot Top 100 records yesterday (http://www.woebot.com/2005/12/part_one.html) and thinking about many amazing records/artists/scenes it had turned me onto... Tropicalia, NDW and Total/Timbaland's "What About Us?" to name just a few...

So, I was just wondering, with the ridiculous amount of muscial knowledge ont his board, if anyone else had a Top 50 of seminal records (perhaps erring towards the less 'obvious') that they'd like to put out there... Records that might turn other forum readers onto scenes/artists they may never have heard of, and are poorer for it.... :D

Will put my "50 to check" on here later this afternoon.....can't promise massive unknown gems in my case, sorry! but I'll try my best...

That Total track isn't much cop imo, I think the best Timbo production is Pony by Ginuwine.

Aaliyah - We Need A Resolution.

Timbo did a Brandy tune called What About Us too. Any relation? I luvved dat track.

Sharing the love - was listening to it jsut this mornign, and thinking that it needed to be recognised for the work of genius it is. A sick, sick tune. But (may be wrong), wasn't it done by Darkchild?

Wot, no Nevermind? ;) And The Untitled Fourth Album eats LZIII alive...

Woebot has chosen the correct Velvet Underground album, by the way.
