Appreciate the suggestions by the way, this is a wonderful genre (though maybe out of season -- it's not exactly jeep beat weather here! Just thought of a nice remix of Cutty Ranks' "A Who Seh Me Dun" over the beat of Big Daddy Kane's "Ain't No Half Steppin".... good shit! Maybe I'll up it tomorrow when I'm working on mi mixtape?

Not strictly Ragga Hip Hop I suppose, but the influence is clearly there and it's one of the best Hip Hop tracks ever:

mistersloane

heavy heavy monster sound
UK stuff : London Posse : My Beatbox Reggae Style and bits of their album

I'd count pretty much everything on Demon Boyz first album, though it would be a spurious claim I think.

Main Attraction did a hip hop remix of Ninjaman's Zig It Up which you might be able to find somewhere.

Love the Bossman tune!

Apache Indian?

Doug E Fresh & Lil Vicious - Freaks -- ragga beatboxing! I want an album of this stuff -- actually, wasn't there some late-90s/early-00s commericial rap/dancehall crossover album? I seem to recall a Capone-n-Noreiga track that gets rinsed on the radio every now and then.

Sorry, the mixtape is for the exchange, going straight to cassette, and as it stands now has no raggahop... although maybe I will slip a track or two in? Anyway, my computer will need something to do while I'm messing with all this analogue technology.

thanks for the tune gavin. keep us updated on your mixtape.
what kind of music is going to be on it?

One side is mostly cosmic-italo-disco-synth and stuff that sounds like it (most of the records I've bought of late).... The other is more on the international booty bass tip :D

But this is ruining the surprise for someone!
