techno music has so many sub-genres and hybrid genres, with new ones being created almost overnight...what do you think of this? Is crossing genres with past styles, (for example italo-disco or electro), the only way to push electronic music forward? Id it still as exciting as it was in the 90's?

Techno is by now a roots music , and so am glad watching the sub genres so far go by ,
always looking forward to new hybrids
But in gen believe , like many genres right now , i believe people deserve another level by now ,
a few notches up and future forward (esp. beatwise) .
