Never really made a great LP but nonetheless I find his solo records sort of fascinating.

Never heard him solo. Liked that Sonoko LP he produced though.

I like all of those except maybe the instrumental Fish one. I'm given to his tracks generally in Wire, so I prefer A-Z over most non-Newman Wire tracks. 'Commercial Suicide' was a nice change of pace, certainly better than what Wire would do thereafter.
